Here is an idea for a September Visiting Teaching handout. But it could easily be used for any event or reason.
It is a card that is cut to the size of the celo bag I had with an extra 2" so the top can be folded down 1". I printed a quote from the VT message in The Ensign. You could also print the message on regular paper and cut it to fit on the card stock. Fill the celo bag with a cookie cut in the shape of a heart, but you could put anything in the bag like a sachet or charm. Staple the bag under the fold of the card. Add a title to the flap.
Thanks for stopping by,
Robyn

Visiting Teaching Handout for March
Created in His Image
I created a handled mirror with a mirror board 3" circle for the mirror. I purchased the mirror board from Amazon.com. The mirror board is sandwiched between the two mirror pieces with the mirror fitting in the opening. In a graphic program, I added the flower graphics before cutting out. But if you don't have graphics to work with, you can use stickers or rub-ons to decorate.
Enjoy! Robyn

Visiting Teaching Handout for August
It is hard to believe that it is almost August! I have a simple yet elegant handout for Aug. It is a little more difficult to mail but it will be a beautiful reminder on a shelf or table.
To create a wash basin and towel, I used a 4 1/2" clay pot saucer, a scrap of material 4x6 that I wrote Be Humble on with Scribbles fabric paint (maybe use vinyl? or stickers?), and a tag with the scripture John 13:14,15 that I printed then punched with a Martha Stewart around the page punch set. If you wanted to take it to the next level, you could include a small tube of foot cream.
If you have a Silhouette and would like a cut file for the tag, you can find it HERE.
If you would like me to make the tag and towel for you, please go to my Etsy Shop at www.Etsy.com/shop/FrizzledFeather
I hope you are enjoying life!

VT July 2015
Here is a little tutorial for making the card I made for the July Visiting Teaching message.
Cut band 9 ¼ x 2 – Punch if desired ( I used Martha Stewart
Butterflies) – score at 2 3/8 from each side – fold and glue.
Cut back 4 ¼ x 5 ½ -- punch top if desired (I used a Martha
Stewart punch)
Cut 2 sides 6 ¾ x 5 ½ -- score on long side at 2 1/8, 4 ¼,
6 3/8. Fold opposite of each other so
that the ¼ tab can glue to the back.
Cutting angle – Place score mark of the ¼” tab on the cutting line of your paper
cutter, then swivel the opposite end to the 1 ½” mark, cut, punch and trim
Adhere sides to the back
Place picture on the center "square"
I used a picture from LDS.org Since I don't own that picture I can't supply it. But you can easily download it for person and church use.
Making the side mats with message.
Type up the message as shown. You can do this in Word on a single sheet. Just remember they are going to be cut into a strip that is almost 2 inches wide. I printed mine on two different colors of paper. You can do it all one color. In the picture they are already cut. The picture shows them out of order - sorry :)
For the left side:
First cut the message into a strip 1 7/8" wide. Don't worry about top and bottom yet.
Now cut the bottom (see picture for approx. where)
For far left: starting at the bottom on the left side of the mat, measure up 2 7/8 and put a light mark with a pencil. Next, measure up 3 3/8 and mark. Use a ruler to connect the dots and using a craft knife, cut the angle.
Here are the measurements for the left side mats. Reverse measurements left and right for the right side of the card - because the angle goes the opposite way.
Far left (first message mat) 1 7/8 wide, left side of left mat 2 7/8, right side of left mat 3 3/8
Center 1 7/8 wide, left left side of center mat 3 5/8, right side of center mat 3 3/4
Right of center (there are 3 mats on the left side of the card. This is far right one - on the left side) 1 7/8 wide, left side 3 3/4, right side 4 1/4
If you make a blank one for each of the 3 mats you can use it instead of measuring every time. Be sure to flip the angle for the right side.
Then if desired, make blank ones to go on the back of the card sides. You will need two small blank ones for the part of card that shows in the front.

VT May 2015
Hi!
Here is a fun card to make for your May handout.
If you would like to cut by hand, you can go to www.splitcoaststampers.com for a tutorial.
You will need to use your own cutout for the fancy mat if desired or you could just use a rectangle or circle. Then use my quote page or make your own. Jpeg quote sheet Here.
If you have a Silhouette Cameo (need 12x12) you can use my cut files I created.
You can use my quotes or you can easily print your own the size you need by using a rectangle just slightly smaller than the cut matting.
Base Here Mats Here Quotes Here
