Visiting Teaching Handout for Sept 2017

Here is an idea for a September Visiting Teaching handout.  But it could easily be used for any event or reason.

It is a card that is cut to the size of the celo bag I had with an extra 2" so the top can be folded down 1". I printed a quote from the VT message in The Ensign.  You could also print the message on regular paper and cut it to fit on the card stock.  Fill the celo bag with a cookie cut in the shape of a heart, but you could put anything in the bag like a sachet or charm.  Staple the bag under the fold of the card.  Add a title to the flap.

Freebie Mini Baking Pan Wrap Cut File

I have a freebie Silhouette Studio 3 cut file for you today.  I am already thinking of the holidays ahead.  They seem to come fast.  Here is a simple wrap that will make a mini loaf of pumpkin bread look like a treasure - which of course it is!  You can keep it simple and highlight the paper or add a title/sentiment and some embellishments.  You can wrap the bread in plastic or you can slip the whole thing into a larger plastic bag and add a tag.  Tip:  Use preprinted card stock for the back and then fill and print and cut the wrap for the front.  Use the eyedropper tool to match the color of fill as you fill your title pieces.  Below is a picture of the wrap alone and then with the title and embellishment.  Then below that you will find the links for the cut files.

I created a handled mirror with a mirror board 3" circle for the mirror.  I purchased the mirror board from Amazon.com. The mirror board is sandwiched between the two mirror pieces with the mirror fitting in the opening. In a graphic program, I added the flower graphics before cutting out.  But if you don't have graphics to work with, you can use stickers or rub-ons to decorate.

New Boxes to cut with your Silhouette Cameo

Just added these cute boxes to my Etsy shop!

This one is perfect for any occasion - just change up the paper or the embellishments.
 It measures 3" X 2" X 4 1/2.
The tag is integrated right into the box!
To keep small items from escaping - just cut and adhere a 3" X 3" piece of clear plastic behind the slits.

Here it is unadorned.

Here it is decked out for a birthday.

This box is a 3 3/4" cube and  has double windows that lets in light so you can easily see what is resting inside. The top flaps are secured by tabs that slide through slits in the flaps.  This box will not accidentally open!  And as a bonus, use the oval from cutting as a tag.

Visiting Teaching Journal Kit

This is a kit with all the pieces to put together a cute little Visiting Teaching Journal that will help you keep track of your sisters and the visits you make.  It is made from black paper bags that come to you prefolded for the project.  The papers are from The Paper Studio called Uptown Flair.  The kit also includes 6 pages of printouts.  One of those printouts is for the person to keep so they can make new copies if they have changes in their VT route so the journal can be used over and over regardless of changes. Each paper bag page has a pocket.  Those extra pages go in the first pocket so you know where they are when you need them.  It also includes a layered title and fibers to tie it all up with.  Below you will find a picture of the unassemble kit and then pictures of the completed project.  Each kit sells for $7 at my Etsy shop.

The scalloped edge you see is the visit tracking page that slips into the page pocket.  It is punched with an EK punch you can get at most craft stores like Joann's or Michael's.

Ready-made White on White Mini Album

New Paper for You Design Mini Ablum

I am offering a new paper line for the You Design Mini Album.  It is this gorgeous white on white paper from DCWV.  This paper in concert with beautiful embellishments, makes a stunning album.  I didn't put any reference to wedding with embellishments so that the album can be used for other occasions such as baptisms, and baby blessings.  As always, you will choose the layouts you want and I will do my best to fill a special request.
